Cooking Zone

Move over Jamie Oliver!

You never know you might have the next naked chef in your group. Give them a chance to show their skills and introduce cooking into your group. I have tried to vary the amount of equipment needed as some groups have little or no access to a kitchen!

Each term the contents of this zone will change so if you see something you like then either print it of or make a note.

The cooking theme this term is CHOCOLATE! (you can tell I work with teenage girls)

It's a melt down!

This cooking activity doesn't need a kitchen so everyone can enjoy it.

You will need:
A foil tray for each chef (like the ones pies or take-aways come in, you can buy them in most Pound Stores).
A clothes peg for each chef.
A candle (not tea light) for each chef.
Plasticine.
Cooking Chocolate.
Matches or a lighter.
A variety of fruit and marshmellows.
Cocktail sticks.

Lets get cooking:
Each chef attaches the candle to the table using a blob of plasticine.
They attach the peg to the foil tray to make a frying pan.
They break up the chocolate.
After lighing the candle they melt the chocolate over the top.
When it is melted they can pick up fruit pieces or marshmellows with the cocktail stick, dip them in and eat!
